During my past years in Germany I worked as a photographer, a singer and as a personal food coach. Here in Portugal I still use these skills and at the same time have discovered my passion for turning some old rotten spaces into beautiful places. Living in Portugal so close to the sea is something I am very grateful for. This fantastic light and the high amount of sunny days, also in winter, is something I am very grateful for. It suits my body and my soul.

When I came to the Algarve for holiday 10 years ago I never had thought that one day I would live here. But in 2019, getting so tired of the rainy and cold wheather in North Germany and opening up for something new to happen in my life, my intuition and longing for a change lead me here again. And so I fell in love with a house that was situated in a very quiet village named „Pera“,only 2,5 km away from the beach „Praia de Salgados“ in the South of Portugal.
Here we have the most mediterran climate of the entire Algarve.

I first moved into this house during wintertime and enjoyed my stay so much that soon I decided to live there constantly. But by rescueing more dogs it turned out this house became to small for me and my dogs. One street ahead in the same village I found an old portuguese cottage with a tiny garden that I renovated and moved in 1 year later. So my first beloved house that I am calling „Casa“ now has become my guesthouse. In 2023 suddenly the 250sqm area in the neighbourhood next to the Casa was for sale. It was based on an old rotten fassade and a little rotten 30m house on the lower part of the plot. In between over the ears nature had taken over between rocks and stones and garbage. This was the birth of the „Jardim de Luz“. I wanted transform this area into place of beauty and light that connects my big guesthouse for 4 people the „Casa“ by adding a new small guesthouse for 2 people, the „Casinha“ through a garden and a big terasse. The idea was to create a space not only for rentals but also for some social possibilities like workshops, small retreats, Yoga, social events…..Since November 2023 there have been a lot of hours of renovating. The Casinha will be able for use in September 2024 and the jardim will be totally finished by the end of this year.
